Sponsor | DLAF | Aug 13, 2005 11:41am | | I think the time to sell my comic collection may be drawing near. Heartbreaking as it is, I think I may have sell at least some of it. Except I have no idea how to. It's not particularly amazing but I've got a few complete series of various things and some signed and some rare graphic novels. If I wanted to go about selling them, what would be the best way? I have no idea. |

When I sell, I always try to go with a private collector; they tend to give a better price than what a professional will offer. (Depending upon the buyer, you may only get 1/4th to 1/2 of what a private collector may give.) I would say Ebay could be a good spot since you can control what the minimum bid would be, or if you wanted it as a buy it now. Comic stores should be your last resort tho. (unless you're looking for trade value, then you have more options....) |

| Rigel-5 | Sep 30, 2007 5:41pm | | Dreamchaser68: Spawn #1, along with most Image Comics from that period aren't worth anything in the U.S. The latest Overstreet Price Guide says $5 for a mint #1 or $2.95 (i.e., cover price) for very good. Image printed several million copies of all their books back then, so they're fairly common and easy to find. It might actually be better for you that your copy is an English reprint -- include a cover image on eBay and you might be able to get a few dollars just from the novelty value. |
